metaverse is like a made-up word doesn’t it? i can assure you though that the metaverse is real, and it’s something that you may already be a part of without even knowing it.

so what exactly is the metaverse? well according to the definition, the metaverse is “a persistent, online, virtual world that utilizes 3D graphics and which users can explore and interact with one another in real-time.” in other words, it’s an online world where people can meet up and interact with each other as if they were in the same room, regardless of where they actually are in the world.

think of it like a massively multiplayer online game (mmo) on steroids. instead of being limited to just one game, in the metaverse you can do anything you can imagine. there are no boundaries or limitations.

of course, the metaverse is still in its infancy. there are a few popular platforms that people are using to create their own virtual worlds, but it’s still very much a work in progress. eventually, though, the metaverse is going to become as ubiquitous as the internet is today.
